Grand nez complexe, terroir superbement exprimé, vinification très respectueuse du caractère de l'année, vraiment très recommandable, d'autant que les vignes se situent sur la partie la plus racée du terroir, sur les terres blanches du dessus.

Ce producteur a certainement le sens du bon style et propose des vins d’un équilibre incontestable et classique, avec pour certains l’évidence d’expression de raisins respectés lors de l’arrivée dans le cuvier. Quelques irrégularités perturbent toutefois l’homogénéité de la gamme, 2017 voit le mazis-chambertin et le fixin hervelets en avant.
