Habile vinificateur, Alphonse Mellot livre une lecture passionnante de Sancerre, avec des cuvées parcellaires qui détaillent chaque terroir. L’âge des vignes, d’une moyenne de 75 ans, lui permet d’offrir une gamme impeccable dont la première marche – la cuvée domaine – est déjà au plus haut niveau. 18 hectares en IGP côtes-de-la-charité, témoignent aussi sa maîtrise du chardonnay. On salue le travail et l’inspiration de ce passionné infatigable, qui couronne plus de trente années de recherche et d’intransigeance.
