Sur les vieilles voire très vieilles vignes de l'ancien couvent de Maumusson-Laguion, Guy Capmartin décide de s’installer en 1985 et de quitter le domaine familial pour commencer sa propre aventure. Tout est mis en œuvre pour produire des vins au plus proche de leur terroir, avec une certification bio depuis 2010.
