Vinifié complètement sec et élevé sur lies, le vin offre un fruité intense non surmaturé au nez, et une bouche d'une profondeur remarquable avec du gras. Un grand vin blanc, issu d'un terroir au potentiel important.

COMMENTAIRE

Autour de Westhoffen, les terroirs alternent entre grès, calcaires du Muschelkalk et marnes de différentes couleurs (noires, rouges ou vertes), ce qui évidemment confère aux différentes cuvées du domaine des saveurs différentes. Sur ses 13 hectares de vignes, cultivées en biodynamie depuis 2009, Étienne Loew et son épouse Caroline travaillent avec soin, labourant certaines parcelles au cheval et laissant les fermentations se dérouler parfois longtemps. Cela donne des vins d’artiste, souvent plus expressifs en bouche qu’au nez, notamment sur les terroirs de grès.
