La nouvelle génération de la famille Barmès est à l’œuvre : Maxime et sa sœur Sophie, toujours sous la houlette de leur mère Geneviève, prolongent le travail autrefois initié par leur père François. Les vignes sont cultivées depuis longtemps en biodynamie, ce qui se retrouve dans les différentes cuvées du domaine, notamment les grands crus Hengst, Pfersigberg ou Steingrubler, ou le très réussi Clos Sand. Les derniers millésimes offrent un supplément de pureté et de vibration dans les finales des blancs. Les pinots noirs du Hengst (où le cépage est désormais reconnu en grand cru) ont également franchi un palier.
