Nez très pur, délicat, menthe poivrée et citron confit, bouche dense et serrée, il goûte plus jeune encore que le 2008, tension, avec une belle réserve.

La maison aujourd’hui dirigée par Georges Lorentz exploite une 45 hectares de vignes en propre, certifiés bio, complétés par des achats de raisins auprès de producteurs locaux en HVE3 . Les grands terroirs sont le grand cru Altenberg (de Bergheim) et le Kanzlerberg, le plus petit des 51 grands crus d’Alsace. Les vignes maison sont cultivées en agriculture biologique et la nouvelle cuverie inaugurée il y a quelques années a permis de rationaliser le travail en cave. Souvent les grands crus sont proposés avec un peu de patine en bouteille, il ne faut pas hésiter.
